The Australian Guineas is an interesting race. It is not held in the same esteem as the Caulfield Guineas but that isn't to say that there have not been some very good winners. Caulfield Guineas winners do not necessarily start in the race all that often and are usually a different type of horse overall. This year's event sees the Caulfield Guineas winner as well as the Blue Diamond winner which certainly adds to the mix. Overall though I think that both miss the mark a little but of course their class could be enough to get them home in a race that does not look to have a great deal of depth. The most common dosage range of winners are either around 2.00 or 3.50 but we really do not see any closely match this range this year. I think that Dom To Shoot and Cambourne are the two that look closest to some of the past winners, and at good odds are worth a ticket each way.
